What’s new at Brookleigh Farm?

The clocks have changed, the nights are drawing in and we can’t quite believe that Christmas is almost here again. It’s been a very busy few months for the Foster family, as we’ve been working hard to make sure your Christmas trees are ready to go as soon as you need them. Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve been up to.

As you’d expect, it’s been all go on the farm. With such a hot summer, we’ve been spending a lot of time watering the trees, as well as trying to keep our cattle cool in some of the hottest temperatures we can remember. We’ve also been carefully looking after the potted Christmas tree plantation, including trimming and shaping the trees and the all important aphid control. The hard work has paid off and the potted trees are looking really fab. 

Of course, we’ve just celebrated Halloween with another fantastic year of Brookleigh Farm pumpkin picking. This year might have been one of the best yet for the pumpkin patch, and it was great to see so many of you come along to join in the spooky fun.

Oh, and all of this while getting ready to welcome the newest arrival to the Foster family. Our gorgeous baby girl was born in September and is doing great, and has already had her first experiences of helping out on the farm! We’re all really looking forward to her first Christmas.

Celebrating 24 years

We’ve now been running Brookleigh Farm quality Christmas trees as a business for 24 years. To keep things fresh we have some exciting new offerings for 2022.

Whisky barrel tree stands

This year if you’re looking for something a little different for your tree, then grab yourself one of our whisky barrel tree stands. They’re a fabulous way to make a statement, and are sustainable too as they make great pots for plants once the festive season is over. Available to purchase from the farm when you come to buy your tree.

Paint your own bauble kits

Have you heard about our new bauble venture? We are really excited about our brand new paint your own Bauble Baby art sets. Each kit comes with two lovely large red, gold or silver shatter-proof baubles and a set of paints and paintbrush. So whether you’re going to make personalised baubles for family members, or get creative with a self-portrait or wintery scene, the packs will make a great Christmas gift for any keen crafters and are also a brilliant way to entertain the kids for an afternoon. We’re already starting to think about what we are going to paint on ours, and can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Christmas wreaths

Our popular Christmas wreaths will also be available again this year after selling out last year! Handmade by Sarah, wreaths can be pre-ordered and feature all the festive foliage and flowers to make your door the best looking one on the street.
